Oracle Product Solution Strategy Manager | Utilities Field Work and Asset Management in Lehi, Utah

Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

The SolutionManagement department is responsible for the commercialization of thoseproducts that are owned and managed by the UGBU, as well as assisting the salesforce to achieve optimal results through product marketing, thought-leadershipand industry strategy development.

Position Overview:

As a SolutionManagement Director in the Oracle Utilities Global Business Unit s Work andAsset Solutions area, you will support the Senior Director of Solution Management.You will be responsible for providing information and insights regardingcustomers, markets and competitors to support business decisions related toutility asset management and utility field work/mobility optimization. You willwork as a solution strategist to keep on top of relevant changes in product,service and delivery direction and the ways your solutions meet industryneeds. You will translate your insight tobusiness cases, market analysis and GTM content. You will support the solution core teams toevaluate markets, drive key business initiatives, and deliver on strategy docsand work plans and measure performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides analysisto improve operational efficiency, consistency, and business performance aligned to our financial andbusiness objectives across the work and asset solutions portfolio

  • Drives standard businesspractices and processes through the solution core teams

  • Conduct marketresearch to analyze product trends, determine product perceptions, evaluatemarket penetration and understand customer needs

  • Analyzesales/marketing performance and pricing trends and compile results reports

  • Conduct industryanalysis on customer, technological, economic and political trends acrossvarious geographic markets and solution areas

  • Responsible fordriving key decisions around future portfolio investment and regional strategies

  • Build businesscases for new product development

  • Work withpartners on identifying joint product solutions opportunities

  • Coordinate with productmarketing on market qualification documents

  • Makepresentations to the management team and sales personnel regarding financialperformance, market opportunity and solution direction.

Job Requirements

  • University degreeor college diploma in business, marketing, or related field

  • 8 years financialplanning/corporate strategy/consulting/business strategy experience

  • 5 years utilityindustry experience related to operational/asset side of the utility business

  • Strongunderstanding of asset performance management and/or field work optimization

  • Ability todevelop strong relationships and work with senior level executives

  • Excellent financial,written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent problemsolving & analysis skills

  • Quick learner anda self-starter

  • Solid businessacumen, management, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong computerskills including Microsoft Office products

  • Effective timemanagement, organization and leadership skills

  • Ability to travelat least 20% or as required
