We are the Purple eCommerce Team. We are a fast-growing group of customer experience, product management, and digital business experts. Our mission is simple; drive measurable business value by delivering experiences that support our product and brand strategies as well as our customer's motivations, behaviors, and needs across their journeys.
We are looking for a provenDigital Product Manager, preferably with eCommerce or consumer-facing experience, to manage our core digital commerce platform products. You should understand that the single most important responsibility of a product manager is to ensure that we are designing and developing digital products that drive value for our business. You have extensive experience conducting product discovery and partnering with agile project managers to support product delivery. You are a technologist who partners well with user experience design, engineering, analytics, project management, and site merchandising peers. You enjoy working in a cross-functional product team setting. You have experience in an agile development environment and value iterative and incremental delivery. Most importantly, you know how to balance business needs, customer expectations, delivery timelines, and technology constraints to deliver innovative experiences that ultimately lead to deep brand and product loyalty. Experience with content management systems and eCommerce platforms may set you apart from other candidates.
Develop a product vision for your area of focus based on customer and business needs, coupled with a plan for evolutionary, iterative updates that realize the larger vision over time and deliver measurable near and long-term business value.
Translate business strategies into product strategies, roadmaps, and product backlogs that deliver customer benefits, meet financial goals, and ensure that systems and processes are set up to scale for future growth.
Drive global product requirements definition, product planning, and product design of new features and enhancements.
Measure and continually monitor product metrics to ensure performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Build cross-functional influence and support by including your key partners in product strategy creation and clearly communicating the value proposition and the reasons why to all levels of the organization.
Conduct product strategy workshops with cross-functional teams that enable the creation of a shared vision and alignment for customer experience and digital product strategies.
Become the voice of our customer and business through a deep understanding of our customers’ needs and the business drivers that drive in the moment conversion and lifetime value.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or corresponding years of equivalent experience.
5+ years of demonstrated success in digital product management or similar roles required.
2+ years working in an agile environment.
A strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate in a compelling manner, drive organizational excellence, and influence teams that are directly or indirectly managed.
Expert level knowledge and experience analyzing businesses and customers to create product strategies.
Expert level understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of different analysis methods and the right balance between qualitative and quantitative data to make low risk and fast-paced decisions.
Deep experience with multiple-source data and trend analysis such as social, analytics, customer feedback, customer service, etc.
Expert level ability to conduct cross-functional and executive leadership workshops.
Exceptional storytelling skills that enable you to turn various qualitative and quantitative data sources into compelling and easily understood product strategies.
Understanding of the omnichannel retail industry as a result of work experience in similar settings.
Excellent oral and visual communication as well as analytical and creative thinking skills that can inspire and motivate team members and leadership alike to focus on recommended experience enhancement opportunities.
The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership, personal initiative, and accountability while embracing a collaborative approach.
