Oracle Oracle Career Relaunch - Principal Financial Planning Analyst in Ogden, Utah

Provides programs to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and compliance in support of the organization*s financial and tactical business objectives. Provides business practices and processes. Develops, communicates, and trains the organization on business practices and processes.

Serve as a liaison with other divisions such as Finance, Contracts, HR, Legal, Shared Services, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and Risk Management in an effort to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing. Collect, input, verify, correct, and analyze data to measure key performance indicator actual versus business objectives. Provide updates to management regarding budget to actual, informing them of deviations and opportunities. Provide management with economic impact and compliance issues surrounding key business decisions and/or deals. Communicate Oracle Business Practices to the organization and monitor process and approvals for full compliance. Drive implementation of new processes and procedures.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Ability to collect, organize, and display data in spreadsheet format. Follow-through skills necessary to get information from internal and third parties and have data errors/omissions corrected. For this, relationship management skills strongly desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills. 8 plus years relevant work experience.

About the Role:

As a member of the Business Operations team, you will be responsible for providing quantitative analysis to address challenging business problems, support critical projects and strategies. This position will perform rigorous analyses on large, complex data sets and provide strategic insights, hypotheses, and conclusions based upon findings to key stakeholders. You will be responsible for delivering the expertise and business acumen to increase value across SaaS properties by providing actionable information with recommendations and opportunities to drive sustainable business growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive and perform analysis and research for data modeling in support of cost efficiency goals

  • Collaborate with internal partners on implementing data analytics and cost automation

  • Support team members and key stakeholder’ ongoing and ad-hoc data analysis and reporting requirements

  • Partner with data science team to improve data models, forecast models, dashboards, and data pipelines

  • Partner with SaaS teams to optimize timing and magnitude of investments

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business related field such as Finance or Accounting, or equivalent work experience required

  • Expert with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Constant attention to accuracy and quality of work, while consistently meeting deadlines

  • Creative problem-solver

  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, including team building especially with finance organizations and line of business leaders

  • Ability to thrive in an environment with ambiguity and change
