Summary

WHAT IS THE LARGE & BUSINESS INTERNATIONALDIVISION? The Large Business and International (LB&I) business unit provides service and enforcement activities to support tax compliance of businesses and related entities with assets of $10 million or more, as well as small U.S. businesses engaged in international, U.S. citizens abroad, and foreign persons and businesses with a U.S. tax requirement.

Responsibilities

WHAT DOES A MANAGEMENT AND PROGRAM ANALYST DO?As a Management and Program Analyst you will serve as a staff analyst, evaluator, and advisor to management. In this position, you will responsible for planning, analyzing, evaluating, and/or improving the effectiveness of administrative operations and/or operating programs.

As a Management and Program Analyst you will: Develop and interpret guidance on program planning, execution, and evaluation.

Prepare directives, issuances, memoranda, policy statements, legislative proposals, and other written guidelines to introduce new initiatives.

Recommend effective operations consistent with policies and objectives

Develop long-range program plans, goals, objectives, and milestones.

Identify ways to resolve or address issues which directly affect the accomplishment of principal program goals and objectives.

Qualifications

You must meet the followingrequirements by the closing date of this announcement. GS-13 LEVEL: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes: experience that demonstrated accomplishment of a wide range of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques, both qualitative and quantitative; management and organizational principles to apply to programs, projects and studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of operations and means to improve them. Knowledge of project management and organizational to evaluate complex projects and studies and the ability to identify problem areas, trends, deficiencies, or other similar factors affecting operations. Your experience must include budgeting methods and techniques to prepare analyses and estimates; oral communication techniques to present findings, deliver briefings, and negotiate solutions to disputed recommendations.-The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.-To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week, on your resume.In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following, if applicable:You must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks (time-in-grade requirement).
