Oracle Sr. Principal Product Manager/Strategy-JoinOCI in Ogden, Utah

Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado.

We seek an experienced Product Manager that loves defining and building sophisticated, highly technical products and services from the ground up. As a member of the Managed Cloud Services (MCS) team in OCI, you will help us define the future of services used daily by both customers and internal teams.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with MCS leadership, senior engineers, program managers, and other product managers to drive Go to Market (GTM) strategy and develop compelling products and services that meet customer needs.

  • Own and maintain a strong product vision that will lead Oracle and its customers to success.

  • Own MSC SKU strategy and definition, pricing models and commercialization plans

  • Drive customer experience and voice of customer into service offering plans

  • Build product roadmaps that are clear, concise, and achievable.

  • Present to Oracle leadership, partners, and others about our current and future products and services.

  • Engage in ongoing dialogues with numerous internal and external customers and partners to refine and optimize our product strategy.

  • Build data-driven systems for taking feedback from customers and turn that data into a prioritized engineering backlog.

  • Develop high-level product strategy that will bring us to the forefront of the cloud computing industry.

  • Provide technical mentorship and constructive feedback to leadership, team members, and other partners.

  • Raise the bar for product quality and customer experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10 years of related experience.

  • Experience with owning SKU strategy and configurations

  • Expertise in establishing product pricing models

  • Experience engaging customers and collecting VOC requirements

  • Strong background of delivering excellent products and services on time.

  • Steadfast focus on customer happiness and ensuring the right product is being developed for the right audience at the right time.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate a vision and get people invested in success.

  • Previous experience owning products in the cloud computing or enterprise software space.

  • Familiarity with key cloud technologies, OCI, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) products from Oracle and other cloud vendors (e.g. AWS/Azure/Google Cloud).

  • Strong teammate with strong organization, and interpersonal skills.

  • Comfort with sophisticated, constantly evolving software development environments.

  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly.

  • Ability to drive, follow, and evangelize cross-team processes.

  • Experience working with geographically distributed teams.

  • Significant work experience in startups or fast-paced enterprise technology development environments.
