We are currently looking for a motivated Business Analyst to join our Data Migration team. In this exciting role, you will create mapping documents, coordinating mapping sessions with business, create reports and other documentation, and work with team members to solution issues that arise.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet with several business teams to identify the data mapping required from source to target environments.

  • Analyze the functional requirement documents to identify gaps and work with the subject matter experts and the development teams close those gaps.

  • Work independently and in a team environment to complete needed jobs. May lead a project team or initiative

  • Work with business to understand and translate their needs into requirements and solutions.

  • Reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business processes, systems and user needs.

  • Providing data analysis to support, compile and report key information.

  • Performing and participating in the analysis, process flow and implementation of migration activities.

  • Support triage activities for the team – running meetings, monitoring progress, assisting in removal of blockers and communication between dependent teams.

  • Communicating analysis and interpretation to appropriate audience.

  • Understand databases and data models.

  • Experience providing input for application process flow to software testers.

  • Analsis of business process and workflow and/or process improvement recommendations.

  • Advanced analysis and communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with management, staff and contractors.

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment, effectively prioritize, and execute tasks while under project time constraints

  • Building processes collaboratively to reach outcomes and goals

  • Provide advanced analysis and strong written and verbal communications with management, staff and contractors

  • Take ownership of issues and work closely with various teams to develop resolutions

    Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field. The ideal candidate will have experience in the following disciplines:

  • Business Analysis

  • Process improvement

  • A combination of education and experience may meet requirements

  • 3 or more years of experience with the business analysis process including gathering and documenting business requirements

  • Experience in banking domain specifically around DDA’s, TD, IRA, branch operations, interest accruals, capitalization, fee charging etc.

  • Ability to co-ordinate activities between subject matter experts and development teams.

  • Should be able to analyze the problems, research on the resolution by reaching out to multiple teams and subject matter experts.

  • Strong understanding defect management process and ability to actively triage a defect, identify resolution and drive it to closure.

  • Working knowledge of business systems and applications, change management, project and systems management, business process and procedure improvement

  • Requires solid interpersonal skills with the ability to work with affiliate representatives, management, and staff employees

  • Working knowledge of Agile Processes and Methodologies

  • Solid analytical, organizational, troubleshooting and problem-solution skills

  • Solid presentation and technical and non-technical communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Knowledge of and or experience in banking and commercial lending is a plus

  • Ability to extract data by running queries and building a logical reporting out of it.

  • Understands and can support project management with the ability to identify the scope, estimate the effort, prioritize the work and come up with a plan.
