Reporting directly to the Data Governance Manager, the main responsibilities of the Data Governance Analyst - Workflow Development & Integration can be summarized as follows:

  • Assist in the design and development of workflows and integrations

  • Assist the Data Governance Manager in developing and overseeing a data governance framework for the organization

  • Assist in establishing more technical solutions to accountability, standards and procedures, quality control and audit, and monitoring and measurement of progress

  • Oversee multiple data segments of the company to establish knowledge centers around the data segments.

  • Act as a governance and technical solutions liaison between subject matter experts, end users, and all involved in the data supply chain to resolve issues and meet objectives.

  • Guide development teams to automate manual business functionalities, wherever applicable


  • Ensure data inconsistencies and errors are researched and resolved quickly and that incident management and problem management disciplines are applied.

  • Ensure data operations are adhering to the appropriate service level agreements

  • Review metrics for data quality and process and report on those metrics

  • Ensure internal controls are in place to comply with corporate governance standards

  • Assist in the development, coordination, implementation of process related to data cataloguing and metadata

  • Maintain technical knowledge of data management industry best practices, including those specific to banking


  • Requires a Bachelors degree and 4 or more years’ experience in data governance; data analysis or other directly related experience

  • Extensive knowledge of data analysis practices, principles, applications and analysis methods

  • Working Knowledge of Business Process Management flows

  • Deeper understanding and working knowledge of API's

  • Experience in developing customized scripts using Java Script & Groovy

  • Experience with Workflow development involving Data Management and data lifecycle would be a plus

  • Experience with integrating distributed systems using Middleware technologies like Mulesoft

  • Deeper understanding and working knowledge of REST API's

  • Experience with basic Unix/Linux skills like connecting to remote servers through Putty, configuring and installing software’s and applications, analyzing logs for troubleshooting

  • Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming and Java script

  • Knowledge of basic authentication techniques like SAML, SSO

  • Experience with developing connectors using Mulesoft

  • Basic SQL and JDBC knowledge

  • Must have strong analytical skills

  • Experience developing financial models

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience in preparing oral and written reports

  • Ability to work in a heavily deadline oriented environment

  • Ability to identify, research, coordinate and resolve issues

  • Must be organized and very detail-oriented

  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)

  • Must have some server management skillset
