Job Description Summary

This position works with business and research customers to determine how external data and analytics can be leveraged to support business strategies, capabilities, and processes. People in this position are accountable for full spectrum of business analysis functions for multiple workflows/projects of medium to larger scope. Some of the things this position is responsible for:

•Eliciting, analyzing, specifying, documenting, communicating and validating business intelligence requirements

•Collaborating in the development of business intelligence (BI) capabilities, and ensuring alignment of these capabilities to BI strategies and roadmaps

•Driving consensus among business stakeholders, IT, and across divisions

•Communicating business intelligence requirements to diverse stakeholder groups to create a shared understanding of the business needs

•Acting as a liaison on Business Intelligence initiatives between business users and technology team

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plays a lead role in the implementation of strategic plan for Claim 3rd party business needs

  • Define, plan and execute 3rd party data initiatives in the exploration, evaluation and/or execution and rollout ensuring that it meets business needs

  • Understands the importance of documentation and drives best practices for all assigned deliverables

  • Responsible for being the expert on the understanding of 3rd party products and services for core strategic vendors in line of sight

  • Provides oversight and managing support for 3rd party developed solutions. Defines and performs high level analysis in the evaluation of 3rd party proof of concepts, existing data and services provided, troubleshooting and resolving issues identified

  • Implements best practices across vendor maturity model.

  • Identifies and informs data management of new sources and attributes for their governance and participates in data quality initiatives

  • Develops project timelines and plans for assigned projects

  • Responsible for the continued growth and leadership in developing vendor SME competency including new vendor opportunities aligned to strategic capabilities

  • Deliver transparency into contracted vendors/products in use as well as bridging constituent needs to existing services

  • Maintain and enhance vendor and data repository and ensure full understanding of what 3rd party data is being leveraged and how

  • Primary point of contact with Procurement & Legal for 3rd party data and services specific to the core insurance transaction in support of capabilities and strategies

  • Participate as an active member in projects and ongoing activities as assigned for ongoing development and maturity

  • Perform assessment of changes to current state business process, data, and feeds

  • Identifies potential impacts in other 3rd party capabilities and make recommendations

  • Proactively communicates status of key projects and monitoring activities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or Business.

  • 5 years of relevant data and analytics experience required.

  • Claim field experience and business intelligence experience a plus
