Zions Bancorporation is currently looking fora Director, Digital Bank Technology. This position reports directly to theExecutive Director of Digital Banking and will be accountable for multipletechnical engineering and operations functions. The Director will helpguide us in building out our technology approach as we develop our R&Dmuscles and increasingly leverage sand boxes and pilot new technology.

Candidates with diverse backgrounds andmindsets to drive a holistic approach to cloud-based platforms in aninnovation-lab-type environment are encouraged to apply.

Thisindividual will:

  • Develop and execute strategy to build and grow a digital banking platform, keeping on the forefront of modern technologies and methodologies.

  • Lead on all aspects of application development, engineering solutions, architecture (cloud), cybersecurity, production management, and quality assurance testing for various digital banking platforms and applications.

  • Create customer and organizational value by executing with quality and pace, effectively mitigating risk and delivering with efficiency.

  • Hire and develop highly engaged and skilled team members.

  • Define and execute technology risk strategy, appetite, monitoring and mitigation.

  • Define, update and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

  • Prepare and present accurate and timely information in response to audits and regulatory exams; institute a proactive culture to align activities and measurement with internal policy and regulatory requirements.

  • Create and manage budget and monthly financial reports.

  • Manages relationships and risk of technology vendors.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related degree and 12 yrs experience managing application development, engineering, project management, and testing. A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.

  • Experience with DevOps principles and practices, waterfall and agile SDLC processes.

  • Excellent leadership, project management, interpersonal, presentation, communication skills, both verbal and written, negotiation and influencing skills.

  • Creativity and experience in synthesizing large amounts of information to solve complex problems.

  • Outstanding adaptability to changing priorities and conditions.

  • Obsession with solving customer problems a must.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Broad, current knowledge of cloud architecture and cybersecurity domains, technologies and vendor capabilities.

  • Experience and working knowledge of financial and/or banking applications.

  • ITIL certification and/or PMP certification.

  • Experience working in innovation labs or startups a strong advantage.

Thisposition requires regular face-to-face interaction with teams, businessstakeholders, and executives in the Salt Lake City, Utah, area. We willconsider candidates in the area, able to relocate to the area, or workingremotely but willing to travel regularly to Salt Lake City.
