As a member of L3 Technologies facilities team you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of L3T Communications Systems West campus. The successful candidate must operate as a true partner to local business leaders, finance, HR, IT, and other functional areas. He/she must be comfortable operating on both the strategic and tactical levels, simultaneously acting as an internal ambassador, educator, analyst, solutions architect, and implementer. Having passion and in-depth knowledge of Project Management, FM Operations with a financial focus, is critical. This individual also has experience developing, implementing and managing a number of scalable programs.
The optimal candidate is an experienced and vibrant professional who will excel within an entrepreneurial culture – providing vision, leadership, and communication – but not afraid to dive into details. They should also understand the nuances of being an approachable but smart client or buyer. This position requires a person who leads and fosters a continuous improvement culture.
Assures capital projects, operations projects and reconfigurations are managed successfully with outstanding customer service
Ensures all facilities are operated and maintained in alignment with established standards and procedures. Further develops standards and procedures as business and customer needs evolve
Manage third-party contractors/vendors engaged in operating and maintaining properties and renovation projects
Establishes schedules and manages variances in timelines and costs
Develops, cultivates and owns key relationships with Landlords, Property Management companies and third party service providers and vendors
Plan and coordinate all installations and refurbishments
Create and execute project plans and budget through to project closure
Drive and Support special projects and strategic initiatives for internal customers
Collaborate with cross-functional partners such as HR, IT, Security, Safety/Emergency Preparedness, Business Assurance and Business Continuity
Participate in any site level crisis including local FM, Stakeholders, HR, Corp Sec, Business Continuity (risk/legal when required)
Preparation of budgeting, oversight and management, with emphasis on managing spend of vendor partners to ensure compliance with FAR spending and transaction policies
Assists with budget development, financial variance reports and operations analysis
Establishes and maintains open, positive relationships with team and customers (L3 employees).
Responsible for managing operations-based projects
Interacts with various support groups to ensure regulatory and compliance systems and processes are implemented·
Owns monthly/quarterly reporting to business leaders to include updates on transactions, projects, and operations
A minimum of 7 years professional experience required - a significant portion of which should demonstrate success in one or more of the following areas: facility based project management, commercial project management and scheduling
Experience building, scheduling projects and managing a team/department with entrepreneurial focus, particularly one with both proprietary and contract resources
University/undergraduate degree in business administration, engineering, or a similar discipline; with an additional 3-4 years of relevant professional managerial experience
Highly competent with personal computers and productivity software, including Microsoft Suite, (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project).
Acute understanding and ability to utilize SharePoint, FM Works, or other Facility Management tool sets, AutoCAD, and Revit
Keen understanding of sourcing/procurement, building systems and maintenance, vendor management and customer service;
Comfortablewith legal terms and structures for standard commercial contracts

Due to the nature of our work qualified candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
