Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.
As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. A/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.

In this role, you will provide industry-specific strategic leadership and go-to-market support to Oracle Data Cloud sales. You will serve as an expert in the Financial Services industry who develops & owns strategic initiatives that drive revenue growth, then delivers on the strategies through collaboration with other relevant ODC leaders across product, marketing, data science and commercialization.
Candidate must be a thought leader who has interfaced with sales and solution functions and has a significant background leveraging audience, context, measurement and platform products to help Financial Service brands achieve marketing success. Candidates should understand how to identity new business opportunities, bundle products, develop packaging, identify market gaps and needs, and support sales efforts through collaboration and in-person meetings.
This position reports to the Senior Director, Market Strategy and will be part of a highly impactful team focused on bringing ODC s products to their fullest potential.
Drive creation, delivery & cross-org evangelization of Financial Services strategies that drive revenue (e.g., positioning, packaging, storytelling)
Help design product bundles that include a combination of audience, context, measurement & DMP solutions to establish new ways to win business
Help train the go-to-market organization on industry-specific use cases, positioning and competitive differentiation
Required Skills and Experience**
Deep understanding of the Ad Tech Ecosystem and ODC solutions and offerings, including audience targeting, context and measurement
Deep knowledge of the competitive landscape & data-driven digital marketing use cases
Deep understanding of the Financial Services space
9 years of Ad Tech Product Marketing, Sales Engineering, Customer Success and/or Business Development experience
Demonstrated success in a strategy and/or product marketing role, demonstrating strong ability to work within a team and gain alignment across functions and teams
Strong analytical, problem-solving, technical and strategic-thinking skills
Strong verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to self-motivate, guide teams, work in teams and be flexible within a fast-paced and changing environment
CO or NY location strongly preferred
Travel up to 25%.
Bachelor degree or equivalent, MBA preferred
