We are currently seeking a Product Manager – Retail Consumer Deposit Products to join our team. This position is in Salt Lake City, Utah. The primary function of the Consumer Deposit Product Manager is to work with the Enterprise Retail Banking team, Bancorporation leadership, and Divisional teams to evaluate, refine, create, and deliver market-leading products. This role will be highly visible and is instrumental in providing direction for a $21B+ portfolio of consumer deposits, including checking, savings, money market, and Certificate accounts. This role reports to the Senior Vice President of Retail Business & Consumer Deposits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages all aspects of assigned products for one or more product lines to maximize product potential and profitability

  • Conducts product research and profitability analysis.

  • Respond to and own operational and compliance-related issues.

  • Act as a business owner when making recommendations and decisions.

  • Makes recommendations regarding product features, design and pricing strategy to appropriate approval committees.

  • Works with other departments to bring the product to market, especially IT, Operations, and Compliance.

  • Develops and implements marketing and communication campaigns.

  • Evaluates product and deposit program results and makes product modifications as needed.

  • Assumes profit and loss responsibility for assigned products.


  • Requires a Bachelor's in business, information systems or related field.

  • MBA is preferred but not required.

  • 4+ years’ experience in consumer or commercial banking.

  • Direct experience in product management, product analysis, design and development or other directly related experience is preferred.

  • Knowledge of banking procedures, technology systems, and regulations that create the foundations of good product design and ongoing management is strongly preferred.

  • Must have good judgement and communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to conduct thorough analysis and resolve problems by working with stakeholders, building consensus, and remaining flexible through the design and implementation process.
