Cigna Provider Engagement Representative in Salt Lake City, Utah
Develops and maintains positive relationships with physicians, providers, and practice managers within the provider network, including oversight and managing performance in various incentives based and/or value based programs. Acts as main point of contact for providers and practice managers for any escalated health plan issue.
Territory: Salt Lake City, Utah
Requires up to 50% local travel to network providers
Car & valid driver's license required (mileage reimbursement provided)
Responsible for assisting with the general oversight of Medicare Advantage provider network in assigned territory, to include financial performance, quality initiatives, provider data accuracy, trend analysis, and provider engagement (particularly PCPs and hospital partners).
Conducts regular provider visits to educate providers and office staff on topics including, but not limited to: health plan operations/policies and procedures, preventative and quality outcome metrics, risk adjustment, etc.
Educates providers on the performance requirements associated with value-based and quality program contracts
Establish strong, solid relationships with provider offices at assigned territories
Develop time and cost effective territory management in compliance with department and enterprise goals
Understands, develops, tracks, monitors and reports on key program performance metrics, such as utilization, coding, and STARs/quality performance
Conducts root cause analysis and resolution of provider concerns
Participates in monthly financial review with senior management
Responsible for collaborating with administrator and other internal departments, including but not limited to Health Services, Medical Economics, Sales, and coding on strategic plans on growth, development, and vision for assigned territory.
Prepares for and participates in meetings with providers, provider staff, and/or physician leadership, and plans, creates and delivers presentations.
May provide guidance to others in the department

Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products required
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration
At least 2 years of experience in healthcare administration or provider relationship management.
Demonstrated knowledge of contracting process, Medicare fee schedules, financial terms, and metrics preferred
Ability to work independently - set and follow logical priorities
Strong organization skills
Strong communication skills - written and verbal communication
