Performs budgeting, planning, and analysis activities for sales operations.
Performs budgeting, planning, and analysis activities for sales operations. Reviews capital expenditures and analyzes sales-related expenses associated with such things as the order pipeline, bookings, revenue forecasting, revenue reporting, sales productivity and goal attainment. Performs regular variance analysis for expenses and budgets. Evaluates pricing structures to ensure fit with company objectives. Effectively incorporates client delivery schedules and operational changes into future revenue forecasts and revenue timeline considerations. Maintains and enhances sales force automation systems, product/service costing models, and margin management tools/systems to effectively monitor and manage revenue/expenses. May develop sales quote tools.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years relevant work experience. BS/BA preferred.

As a member of OracleUtility s high- performing team, you will provide strategic business insightthrough the creation, management and enhancement of a wide range ofreporting/intelligence tools and sales processes. You will drive a set of businessactivities and processes that help our sales organization run effectively,efficiently and in support of business strategies and objectives. This is apivotal role that enables you to have significant business impact through yourdirect involvement and ownership of Monthly Business Reviews, deal pricing,sales account planning, sales cadence, strategic sales analysis, and forecasting.You will monitor and provide insight on sales progress against financial andoperational goals, while gaining high visibility and interaction with theOracle Utility BU executive management team. TheSales Operations Senior Strategy Analyst position will be based in ourArlington, VA office (10 minute subway ride from Washington, D.C.) or ourDowntown San Francisco, CA office.
Communicate strategic findings andanalytic insights to internal audiences, including the SVP of Sales, VP of SalesOperations, and other members of the senior management team
Support the sales team withdeal pricing strategy and analysis, ensuring we place to right deal in front ofour customers
Support the VP of Sales Operationsand WW Sales VPs on strategic analysis and projects
Provide real-time strategic reportingand insight to guide Management to make sound and timely business decisions todrive short-term and long-term performance.
Identify key metrics and developanalytical reporting tools that provide a deeper understanding of our business,delivering critical insight to sales leadership, finance, and executivemanagement
Ensure all sales processes arestreamlined and support the growing need of the business while also improvingsales performance through improved methodologies
Analyze Oracle s sales pipeline dataand work with various teams to improve data quality and reliability
Design and execute sophisticatedmodeling and analysis to identify business opportunities and gaps in our salesexecution
Work with internal partners to build dashboards,reports and business intelligence solutions to provide timely, actionablevisibility into the sales pipeline, for forecasting, planning, performanceassessment and other purposes
RequiredEducation and Experience
7-10 years of analyst/associate workin management consulting, finance, sales operations or another quantitativelyoriented business role
Experience managing critical projectsfor senior executives under tight deadlines
A track record in managingcross-functional projects and in driving projects to a successful and timelycompletion
A knack for turning meaningless datainto valuable and actionable insights
Advanced Excel modeling skills(nothing is impossible to you in Excel) and Strong PowerPoint skills
Past experiences with SaaS businessesare strongly preferred
Bachelor s degree from a topuniversity, ideally in a business-related field (e.g., business administration,finance, or economics)
MBA or Advanced Technical degreepreferred
Self-starter with ability to take ontasks with relatively little instruction
Think strategically but love to getyour hands dirty to help build analysis to support your recommendations
Love taking processes, tools, andpolicies and working with others to make them more efficient and productive
