Oracle Product Marketing Director in West Jordan, Utah
Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.
As a member of the product development division, you will specify, design and implement major changes to existing software architecture. Define project needs. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to ensure consistency, testability and portability across products in general.
Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.
This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado.

Product Marketing Director, CIC, CDE, and Platform
As Product Marketing Director you will be responsible for the market success of our most innovative products, the Construction Intelligence Cloud and our Smart Construction Platform including a Common Data Environment.
You will develop and execute global go-to-market strategies that connect your products and initiatives with their ideal customers, drive global marketing campaigns, enable tactical and strategic selling, be the product/initiative evangelist, and provide feedback and direction to product teams. You will create differentiated positioning and messaging, and industry-leading content to support marketing and sales by working with customers, deep subject matter experts across the business unit, and key industry influencers. With product, you will ensure Oracle’s CEGBU delivers competitive solutions that drive real business value.
Product Marketing is a new and pivotal group within the business unit. It is truly the glue that binds product strategy to the tactics needed to drive success in sales and marketing and a key driver of business results. Our mission is to make it easy for the market to realize the unique value the Oracle Construction & Engineer Global Business Unit delivers. As an early team member, you will play an important role in evolving the group’s culture, its influence across the business unit, and Oracle’s impact on the global $11 trillion construction industry.
We are building the team with two types of product marketers. One focuses on the global success of a product or product line, working closely with product managers to bring new capabilities to market and ensure their long-term success. The other role focuses on a target audience, crafting solutions across the business unit’s product portfolio and working closely with industry groups and demand generation to drive pipeline and achieve revenue targets. These two roles work in tandem to define strategies, orchestrate cross-functional activities and drive internal and external communications. This is a product-focused position.
Launch these new products and create their market success. Build the platform positioning and messaging enabling a vibrant eco system of partners.
Build and maintain market knowledge. Track industry trends, processes, challenges, and opportunities. Identify competitive solutions’ strengths and weaknesses.
Target and champion buyers. Define best fit target audiences, understand personas, their challenges, how they buy and their key buying criteria. Use market research data to influence product strategy, pricing and packaging.
Create simple, straightforward and differentiated positioning that resonates with our target buyer personas and sets our products apart from alternatives. Build and tell a compelling story across all internal and external, marketing and sales channels. Create thought leadership content and evangelize the solution.
Work closely with product management to understand and influence product strategies and roadmaps. Plan new product/capability launches and drive the cross-functional implementation of those plans to achieve desired business outcomes.
Working with audience product marketing, create go to market strategies, marketing plans and sales plays. Manage execution through audience product marketing, corporate marketing, solution consultants and sales enablement. Create supporting content, enablement tools, playbooks, customer facing positioning presentations, strategy and vision decks. Track and analyze results of all initiatives.
Work closely with industry development and regional teams to tailor positioning, messaging, collateral and programs for their unique challenges and markets.
Understand and support our sales enablement team; train them on the problems we solve for our buyers; develop ongoing sales tools that facilitate the selling process.
Support the marketing team to develop marketing plans, including key activities and budgets to support the retention of existing customers and the acquisition of new customers.
Act as one of the primary thought leaders for our products, including speaking engagements and written works.
Proven track record launching new products.
Experience marketing data and technology platforms.
5-10 years of product marketing experience in B2B, SaaS industry.
Construction application experience a plus.
Experience performing market sizing and segmentation.
Experience crafting differentiated messaging for products in competitive markets.
Experience developing and leading product launch and broader GTM processes.
Experience orchestrating marketing plans and programs.
Experience enabling sales success with BDR teams and field sales teams.
Solid proof of presentation, writing, and general communication skills.
Excellent time management and organization skills with attention to detail.
Self-starter with strong business acumen who truly wants to build something great.
Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, or related field. MBA a plus.
