The Technology organization of Zions Bancorporation seeks a Technology Vendor Management Analyst to assist with managing the relationships between the Technology organization and specific technology vendors, organizations within Zions Bancorporation who use the services / products of the specific technology vendors, and the Corporate Procurement Department who set and oversee corporate procurement procedures.
The ideal candidate for this position will have the skills and experience to:
Assist with developing vendor strategies, negotiation strategies, best practices, and vendor relationship management for technology vendors providing a variety of products and services including outsourcing, software, hardware, network, voice, and other services.
Analyze, evaluate, and research the financial and business impact of certain vendor contracts and other agreements and assist in managing relationship between the Technology Vendor Management Office and the financial department.
Assist with contract pricing negotiation, consolidating multiple product contracts with the same vendor into one or a few contracts, leveraging overlapping product lines, vendor strategy development, and vendor relationship management for technology vendors, especially outsourcing vendors, falling into the Technology Vendor Management Office’s span of responsibility.
Produce management reports summarizing current and upcoming key technology contracts.
Drive processes and improvement initiatives in the Technology Vendor Management office related to the oversight of technology vendor information.
Serve as the project manager (from initial internal discussions to invoice payment) for key contract renewals requiring cross functional coordination within the Technology organization and with other organizations.
Serve as the Technology organization liaison to Supply Chain Management (Vendor Management, Enterprise Contracts, Technology Procurement, and Vendor Risk teams) and partners for all matters related to the bank's technology vendors including problem resolution, improvement in processes, and ensuring all vendor activity is effectively managed in accordance with company policies set by the Supply Chain Management Team.

Education/Experience, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of vendor management and solid vendor relationship management skills specifically experience contracting with and managing outsourcing vendors.
Working knowledge of project techniques and practices.
Solid analysis (including financial, business process, qualitative, etc.) and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to solve problems including multiple priorities and research conflicting and/or inaccurate data.
Ability to work in a heavily deadline oriented environment.
Ability to work individually, as part of a team, and to lead a project group.
Ability to deal effectively with people in various job capacities.
Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, database, and applications).
A Bachelor’s in supply chain, procurement, business, finance, or related field and 4+ years’ experience in business process analysis, project methodology, technology vendor contract negotiation and analysis, managing technology vendor relationships, or similar experience.
A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
